UK government: This is a climate emergency.
Ban all new oil drilling now.

Melting ice caps, dying coral reefs, wildfires, more and more extreme weather events: we’re facing a climate emergency because we’re burning fossil fuels.

And yet the government is still allowing companies to drill up new oil that our planet can’t afford for us to burn. In fact, they’ve given permission to a company to drill for 23 million barrels of new oil in an important wildlife site at Poole Bay, near Bournemouth.

It’s scandalous that the government is still allowing this to happen when they know we need to get off fossil fuels fast to meet our urgent climate targets. It’s time for the government to take the climate emergency seriously.

Sign the petition and call on the UK government to wake up to the climate emergency now.
